Campus Kitchen Awarded Funding

Campus Kitchen was awarded funding from Auburn University’s Tiger Giving Day to continue its end hunger initiative. CKAU received more than $6,000 for the hydroponic towers to be used for growing produce to supplement the Auburn Family Meals program. CKAU volunteers will be in charge of maintaining the towers, allowing Auburn students hands-on experience in hydroponic farming. Currently, CKAU is planning to grow lettuce, bok choi, spinach, arugula, peppers and various herbs this season.

Albert Schweitzer Fellowship Partnership

The Office of Public Service has established a partnership with the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship and the following Auburn University colleges/departments:

College of Nursing
College of Education, Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation, and Counseling

College of Liberal Arts, Department of Social Work

Outreach and Public Service AVP Honored

Hollie Campbell Cost, Outreach and Public Service's Assistant Vice President, was recently selected as an honoree for the 2023 Women Who Shape the State award presented by This is Alabama. Cost will be recognized at a luncheon to celebrate the 2023 honorees on March 8 at The Club in Birmingham.
