Program Assessment

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)


  • Academic degree program assessment reports are due July 1st every year at midnight.
  • The Core Curriculum General Education Committee (CCGEC) is moving toward a centralized approach to assessment. Thus, assessment reports are no longer collected for general education from departments.
  • Administrative and academic support units should continue to submit their annual assessment reports for the prior year by October 15. One copy should go to the executive officer to whom the unit head reports, with one copy going to the University’s accreditation liaison in the Office of Institutional Research.
  • Programs may choose to report data on an academic or calendar year. Regardless of choice, programs should be reporting new data to our office every year.
  • Undergraduate and Graduate programs AND certificates (both undergraduate and graduate).
  • Yes. The Office of Academic Insight will begin accepting assessment reports on April 18; programs may submit reports beginning at this date up until July 1, which is the hard deadline. Reports can be submitted via email to assess1@auburn.edu.
