Welcome to the Auburn Family!
Congratulations on your acceptance to Auburn University! You've taken a bold step toward an exciting future, and we couldn't be more thrilled to welcome you.
Next Steps
You are finished with the application process. Here are some next steps:
Complete AUSOM (the Auburn University Scholarship Opportunity Manager)
AUSOM filters applicants into any potential university, college, and/or departmental scholarship award consideration for which they may qualify. Students can access AUSOM once they have been accepted. The AUSOM application should be completed by the February priority date for full consideration, but accepted students may continue to complete AUSOM once they are accepted.
Complete Auburn's transfer student orientation called SOS (Successfully Orienting Students)
There are two parts to this:
-
An online, self-paced component of orientation which consists of modules in Canvas available in AU Access.
-
An in-person, or online synchronous, transfer orientation session which you will attend with other incoming students.
Meet with your academic advisor
Once all of the modules are completed, including the Transfer Plan of Study, your academic advisor will reach out to discuss registering for classes.
Receive your registration time ticket
You will be assigned a registration time (a “time ticket”) that indicates when your window for registration starts.
Register and get ready for your first semester
Once these are completed and you are registered, you are ready to go and will attend your first semester as an Auburn University student.
