COSAM Academic Awards Information
Each year, the COSAM Associate Dean for Academic Affairs office oversees the nomination and selection processes for a number of academic and teaching awards recognizing undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty for their achievements.
Nominations may only be submitted between mid-November and mid-January using the Qualtrics links on the COSAM Academic Awards Nominations page. Students are encouraged to contact faculty for nomination and support letters well before the holiday break to ensure adequate time for processing their requests before the January nomination deadlines.
Award recipients will be notified of their selection in mid-to late-February. College-level awards are presented at the annual COSAM Honors Convocation held in April. University-level awards are presented at separate ceremonies in the Spring.

Nomination packages for Dean’s Medalist and Outstanding Junior are due before January 20, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.
Nomination packages for the following awards are due before January 29, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.

- Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant
- Outstanding Faculty Undergraduate Mentor
