Details: Our second meeting of Fall Semester 2012 features Guest Speaker Dr. Mike Wooten from our department. Dr. Wooten will talk about his long-running research on the population biology of endangered beach mice along the Alabama and Florida gulf coasts. We’ll also be planning our first weekend field trip, tentatively extending from Friday afternoon Sept. 28 to Sunday afternoon September 30. We plan on visiting the Gulf Coast Zoo in Gulf Shores AL, the nearby Bon Secour National Wildlife Area, and the Splinter Hill Pitcher Plant Bog. All are invited to attend! |
