Details: For our first weekend field trip, tentatively extending from Friday afternoon Sept. 28 to Sunday afternoon September 30, we plan on visiting the Gulf Coast Zoo in Gulf Shores AL, the nearby Bon Secour National Wildlife Area, and the Splinter Hill Pitcher Plant Bog. We will be staying at the Nature Conservancy’s Splinter Hill Bog house, located inside the Splinter Hill Bog Preserve, for both Friday and Saturday nights.
