Speaker: Dr. W. Gary Martin

Subject: Common Core State Standards for Mathematics and how they will affect the teaching of undergraduate courses, in particular of core courses. 

His talk will concentrate on instructor specific issues, while Friday's Colloquium will consider how the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics will affect departments of mathematics and statistics as a whole. 

Since the two talks deal with significant different issues, Dr. Albrecht strongly encourages attending both lectures.
