Title: Basic Ratemaking
 
Abstract: Ratemaking is the process of establishing rates used in insurance or other risk transfer mechanisms. A key concept in Property and Casualty ratemaking is the fundamental insurance equation, which balances the expected future income and outgo of an insurance operation. The presentation will discuss the individual components of the equation (e.g., premium, loss, expense, profit), and key considerations surrounding each component.
