Details: The Big Event is a student-run volunteer day which encourages college students and faculty to thank the community for providing a thriving environment to live and learn! Since its beginning in 2003, the program has served as an opportunity for Auburn University students to give back to the Auburn and Opelika communities by providing basic community service tasks for households, businesses, churches and organizations as a way of saying thank you for making Auburn a great community to live in. This year, the BIG Event will send students to the Donald E. Davis Arboretum in order to plant a variety of native trees including hickory trees, plum trees and oak trees. |
