Geosciences Science Cafe - Karen McNeal

Hello all science enthusiasts!

This month’s Science Café will be with Dr. Karen McNeal from Geosciences on Thursday, June 21^st, 6:30-7:30pm at Red Clay Brewery with the topic “Beach Night at the Brewery: Augmented Reality Sandboxes in Geoscience”. We’re bringing some augmented reality sandboxes to the pub, so this should be a fun hands-on night out! The flier is attached, but here’s the topic description:

"Come beat the heat this summer with a cold drink and cool serving of science! At the June Science Pub, we’ll be tackling augmented reality (AR) through the lens of Geoscience— What is it? And how can it be used both in research and education? We’ll be bringing Geoscience’s new AR sandboxes to make it even more special. And don’t worry, both kids and adults will have the opportunity to dig into the fun!”
