Dr. Sue Ebanks from Savannah State University presents “From Back Page to Reoccurring Theme: A Scientist’s Systematic Approach to Elevating the Science" talk followed by Q&A. 

Dr. Ebanks will utilize her professional research and academic story coupled with her extracurricular story as the mechanism for illustrating her approach to sharing science and achieving legacy-scale broader impacts.  As an ecologist that focuses on coastal aquatic, estuarine, and marine environments as well as the coastal hazards and anthropogenic impacts, Ebanks will share how cultural relevance, rapport, and place-based engagement, when grafted with the science, can create a pathway to meaningful stewardship.
