Title: Algebra and Computer Vision

Abstract:  I’ll talk about how algebra is in the background of many machine vision applications (such as navigation for self-driving cars, or Augmented reality). In particular, I’m interested in correspondences between multiple images of the same scene. I’ll describe the algebraic objects that are present, the concept of a minimal problem, and discuss some recent work on uncalibrated reconstruction.
