National Incident Management System (NIMS)
The National Incident Management System was developed so responders from different jurisdictions and disciplines can work together and better respond to natural disasters and emergencies.
Auburn University Emergency Management strongly encourages employees to take some NIMS courses, starting with IS 700 (NIMS: An Introduction). The above link will allow you to select the courses that best fit your situation.
Evacu-Trac Training
Evacu-Trac devices have been placed in several multistory buildings on campus. These devices can be used to assist in evacuating mobility-impaired persons from higher floors to the exterior exits. The link above provides more information about the Evacu-Trac devices as well as a short training video on how to use them.
More training opportunities will be posted as they become available.
