Title: Mute your mic if you need to cry: Understanding emergency remote experience(s) of undergraduates learning mathematics
Abstract: How do you scientifically measure a "good" experience? What is the difference between "good" and "bad"? And what if someone's "good" is someone else's "bad"? In this talk, we will discuss research design and rigorously measuring the good, the bad, and the in between of emergency remote learning in math. There will be plenty of chances for audience interaction and examples of both qualitative and quantitative methods.
