Dr. Joseph Briggs, recipient of the Dr. Jennifer Stone Award for Excellence in Teaching for 2022, will be recognized at DMS Awards Banquet.
The Dr. Jennifer Stone Award for Excellence in Teaching is given annually to an individual nominated and voted on by graduate students as an impactful teacher in one or more graduate classes they taught during the academic year.

Jiaming Liu, a graduate student in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in the College of Sciences and Mathematics, or COSAM, was recently selected by a special committee of the Graduate Council as one of Auburn University’s Outstanding Doctoral Students for 2021-22. She will be one of the students honored at the Graduate Awards Ceremony on April 18.

Auburn hosts state Science Olympiad tournament

After a two-year hiatus, 22 middle and high schools were brought together on Auburn University’s campus on March 26 to compete in the state Science Olympiad tournament. The competition was the culmination of months of preparation. Teams competed in topics such as earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, math and engineering.
