The Elevated Education Exchange is a showcase of collaborative and innovative practices across Auburn University. Featuring faculty, staff, alumni, and students, the EEE aims to highlight and celebrate strategies that support student academic and post-graduation success. This event also features nationally recognized guest speakers to explore trends in higher education. The EEE supports the goals outlined by Auburn University's Quality Enhancement Plan, AUBURNACHIEVE, which focuses directly on improving student achievement.

Dr. Kevin C. Snyder

Dr. Kevin C. Snyder

Dr. Kevin Snyder is a best-selling author, professional speaker and multi-TEDx presenter. As a teenager, Kevin was arrested and battled depression. Through his journey to recovery, he felt a ‘calling’ to help others. He started his career working in Student Affairs and also teaching as Adjunct Faculty. Most recently he served as Dean of Students for High Point University. Kevin now speaks professionally full-time and has presented motivational leadership keynotes and workshops for over 1,000,000 people through 1,150+ organizations in all 50 states and several countries. His engaging, humorous and authentic presentations help re-energize and uplift the human spirit so individuals can maximize their resilience, envision new possibilities and build stronger teams. He lives in Raleigh, North Carolina and - fun fact - Kevin lived his childhood dream of meeting Bob Barker and winning BIG on the television game show, The Price is Right!

Dr. Jennifer L. Bloom

Dr. Jennifer L. Bloom

Jenny Bloom is a tenured Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Research Methodology and the Founder of the Office of Appreciative Education (https://www.fau.edu/oae/) at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). She previously served on the faculty at the University of South Carolina and as Associate Dean for Student Affairs & Medical Scholars Program at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Urbana-Champaign.

Dr. Bloom was the 2007-08 President of NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising and in 2017 received NACADA’s Virginia N. Gordon Award for Excellence in the Field of Advising. She has co-authored six books and numerous articles and has presented at 500+ institutions and conferences.

Guest Speakers

Justin Hodgson

Justin Hodgson is an award-winning educator and digital transformation leader at Indiana University, where he Co-Directs the Digital Gardener Initiative—a series of programs designed to integrate digital literacy, digital creativity, and digital learning into the curriculum. Dr. Hodgson is also an Associate Professor of Digital Rhetoric in the Department of English at IU Bloomington, where his research focuses on the intersections of rhetorical studies, emerging media, play and game theory, and art and aesthetics. He is the Director of Online First-Year Composition at IUB, founding editor of JUMP+ (The Journal for Undergraduate Multimedia Projects), and Digital Literacy Thought Leader for Adobe.

Laura Cruz

Laura Cruz (PhD, University of California at Berkeley, 2001) is a Research Professor (Full) of Teaching and Learning Scholarship with the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence at Penn State. Before coming to Penn State, she served as the director of two centers for teaching and learning and editor-in-chief for four journals in the field. Her published work consists of 100+ studies in the scholarships of educational development (SoED) and teaching and learning (SoTL), including a forthcoming co-edited volume on SoTL in the health professions (Wiley).
