Leadership Team
As an associate registrar, Cary Sockwell Curtiss (she, her, hers) focuses on campus process improvements and regularly collaborates with partners across campus or with institutions throughout the state. In addition to working with registration and transfer credits, Curtiss also supports initiatives such as Auburn First and Path to the Plains. Previously, Curtiss worked with the Honors College and served as a liaison to the advising community across campus for many years. She completed her undergraduate studies in Anthropology and Philosophy at Auburn University, and her Masters and Ph.D. in Asian Cultures and Languages are from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to working at Auburn, Curtiss owned a yarn store in Opelika. Her interests include knitting, reading, painting, weaving, walking, and traveling.
Dr. Curtiss works in the Pathway and Transfer Center where students in Auburn First, pathway programs, and transfer students have a support system for navigating Auburn University. She previously worked in the Office of the Registrar, the Provost’s Office, and the Honors College here at Auburn University. She completed her undergraduate studies in anthropology and philosophy at Auburn University, and her graduate degrees in Asian cultures and languages at the University of Texas at Austin. She also enjoys reading, art, and knitting.
