Julie Huff is the Assistant Provost for Academic Operations, Facilities, & Initiatives for the Provost’s Office. In that role, she oversees the Provost’s Office’s academic space operations and management and supports strategic communications and marketing initiatives for more than 20 academic units and programs. In addition, Huff leads a team responsible for planning and implementing academic initiatives and events, including faculty and staff recognition and commencement exercises, and works with individuals and units across campus to implement strategic goals and initiatives to advance Auburn’s tripartite mission.
Huff coordinates and represents the Provost’s Office to implement various initiatives, including the Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education, the Executive Facilities Committee, the Board of Trustees, academic facilities, and other campus divisions, departments, and individuals.
Joining Auburn in 2001, Huff served as a faculty member in the School of Communication and Journalism before transitioning to roles as the Special Projects Advisor to the Associate Provost for Undergraduate Studies and the Vice President for Student Affairs. Outside the University, Huff served as a press agent for the Alabama Legislature. Huff completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Auburn, where she lives with her husband and two sons.
