A long-time employee of Auburn University, Martha Taylor joined the Provost Office in 2023 as the Assistant Vice Provost for Research and Scholarship Analytics. In her current role, Taylor is responsible for implementing and supporting the University’s electronic research administration tool, Endeavor.
Additionally, Taylor provides monthly and ad hoc reports on sponsored programs and expenditure data to various leadership constituencies across campus. She is also responsible for submitting annual national ranking data to the NSF Higher Education Research and Development (HERD) Survey and the Survey of Graduate Students and Postdoctorates in Science and Engineering (GSS). Taylor has served Auburn’s research enterprise in roles that include director of sponsored programs and assistant vice president for research administration.
Taylor came to Auburn in 1989 from the Texas A&M Research Foundation, where she supported the Texas Engineering Experiment Station in their sponsored program processes. Before that and just after graduation from the University of Florida, Taylor was a contract specialist with Environmental Sciences and Engineering, an environmental engineering firm now under a new name, Environmental Consulting & Technology (ECT).
