Serving as executive Assistant to the Provost since August 2017, Sandy Krietemeyer manages the daily operations and strategic initiatives of the office and serves as a liaison to the institution’s vice presidents, deans, and other stakeholders both on and off-campus. In addition to various academic committees, Krietemeyer supports several administrative processes, including promotion and tenure, faculty awards, and the Alabama Commission on Higher Education. Before working in the Provost’s Office, Krietemeyer spent five years as the executive support specialist to the dean of the College of Agriculture and director of the Alabama Agriculture Experiment Station.
A native of Bay Minette, Alabama, Krietemeyer holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of South Alabama. She was a corporate travel agent and meeting planner for American Express Travel and All Seasons Travel for over ten years. She is married and has two children, both of whom are Auburn graduates.
