Leadership Team

Originally from Houston, Texas, Professor Irwin received his bachelor’s in History from Texas A&M University in 1991, and his master’s in Hispanic Studies from Auburn University in 2003. He has been a Spanish instructor at Auburn since 2003 and has specialized in designing first and second year online Spanish courses since 2012. In 2019 he received the Auburn University College of Liberal Arts Excellence in Teaching Award for Online Teaching. His interests are in Spanish language film and music and their usage to teach language. He lives in Auburn with his wife and three children.
