Before joining Auburn University, Zachary W. Schulz garnered extensive experience as an educator at Purdue University, Purdue University - Northwest, Ivy Tech Community College, Auburn University at Montgomery, and Columbus State University. He received his B.A. in history from the University of Missouri and both his M.A./Ph.D. in history from Purdue University. Additionally, he has received an education specialist degree (Ed.S.) from Auburn University.


 

Schulz's research studied the English abroad in the Levant during the late seventeenth century, arguing that the political impact these English had in forming the Stuart regime's state apparatuses is often overlooked. His special interests include early modern England, history of veterinary medicine, and One Health. Currently, his teaching specialties include courses in world history, history of veterinary medicine, and comparative health systems for traditional undergraduate, online, dual enrollment, adult learner, and international students.
