Graduate Information

  • University-issued tickets are required for:

    1. All graduates seated on the Arena floor or walking, and

    2. All guests seated in the stands (all attendees must have a ticket, regardless of age)

  • Exceptions: Graduates and attendees of the professional schools of Pharmacy and Veterinary Medicine do not require tickets.

Instructions for downloading tickets

  1. Log into your account at https://auburngrad.universitytickets.com/.

  2. Click on your name in the top-right corner of the page.

  3. Click "Your Orders."

  4. Click "View" next to the order. From this page, you can access and download your tickets

  5. PDF Tickets: Click "Download This E-Ticket" next to the individual ticket if you would like to download tickets individually or click "Download All PDF E-Tickets" to download all tickets on this order.

  6. No longer need all of your claimed tickets? Click the "Return Ticket" button to reallocate tickets you do not need.

Arrive on Time

  • Graduates MUST arrive no later than 60 minutes prior to their ceremony. Graduates must be seated on the Arena floor 30 minutes before their ceremony starts. See the schedule for times.

  • Doors open 90 minutes prior to ceremony start time.

  • No food or beverages are allowed, except for disposable bottles of water.

  • Only bring your cellphone with your student ID.


What to Expect

  • All graduates will receive an official commencement name card that is used to display names during commencement ceremonies.

    • All graduates must have a valid form of ID in order to receive their name card

    • Hard copy IDs or digital IDs on smartphones will be accepted.

    • If a graduate does not have a preprinted name card at their graduation ceremony, a write-in card can be provided pending graduation status verification.

  • Graduates will have the choice to take a photo with Aubie after receiving their name card.

  • GradImages™ takes pictures of each graduate as they walk across the stage. Proofs can be viewed and purchased online within two weeks of the commencement ceremony. Personal pictures should be taken either before or after the ceremony.

What to Wear

  • Arrive in full academic regalia.

  • In addition to the black robe, men should wear dress pants (preferably dark) and dark shoes. No jeans, athletic shoes, or sandals. Women should wear a dress, a top with a skirt, or dark pants (no jeans). Please wear flats or wedges.


Prohibited Items

  • Weapons (including pocket knives)

  • Pets (registered service animals are permitted)

  • Artificial noisemakers

  • Non-clear bags that exceed 4 1/2" x 6 1/2"

  • Bags larger than 12" x 6" x 12"

  • Open food/beverages (water bottles must be sealed)

  • Camera bags

  • Cameras with lenses over 4 inches

  • Selfie Sticks

  • Shakers

  • Signs, posters, and fat heads

  • Any items that inhibit the view of other guests

  • Hover boards, scooters and skateboards

  • Balloons

Accessibility

Special accommodations for graduating students are available upon request. To make requests, call 334-844-5828. All requests for special accommodations should be made at least three weeks before the commencement ceremony. For further information regarding accessibility, please visit our accommodations page.


For Graduating Students

Diplomas are shipped to graduates 6-8 weeks following commencement. Please contact the Office of the Registrar for questions regarding diplomas at otrgrad@auburn.edu.

All graduates receive a copy of the Auburn Creed from their dean.

When posting to social media, please use the hashtag #auburngrad.

No, graduates do not need to attend to have their degrees conferred.
