To maintain continuity in Auburn’s academic work, certain existing academic committees will continue their responsibilities for the time being. Relevant committee chairs have been informed and asked to notify members accordingly. As the transition proceeds, the name, composition, structure, scope, function, and other aspects of these particular committees will be reviewed and revised as needed to align with Board policy and the University’s new academic advisory framework.
Academic Standards
The committee shall study policies governing scholastic standards for all students regarding admission to the University, continuation in residence, and graduation, and make recommendations to the Presidential Academic Advisory Council. In addition, the committee shall recommend approval or disapproval of all college, school, and department requests to establish additional standards for admission in individual programs or curricula.
Membership
The Committee on Academic Standards shall be composed of 11 members, 1 of whom is non-voting: nine faculty members, and two continuing/ex-officio members who shall be the Provost or designee, and the Registrar (non-voting).Members
