Discover Day

COSAM Discover Day is an in-person experiential learning showcase that highlights the diverse undergraduate experiences of COSAM students, including internships, shadowing and clinical opportunities, undergraduate research and REUs, and study abroad programs.

Student presenters will share posters describing their experiences with COSAM students, faculty, staff, alumni and community partners. The event offers an opportunity to learn about experiential pathways, connect with peers and professionals, and celebrate student achievement across the college.

Apply to Present

COSAM undergraduate students are invited to apply to present a poster at COSAM Discover Day. This event is an opportunity to showcase your undergraduate experience, reflect on what you’ve learned and inspire fellow students.

Students should submit one application per presentation. Group presentations of up to five students are permitted; however, only one application should be submitted per group.

11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026

Poster Content Guidelines

Posters should include:

  • An overview of your internship, research experience, study abroad site or clinical/shadowing opportunity

  • Roles and responsibilities

  • Challenges and successes

  • Key learnings and future plans

Posters should be 4 feet wide by 3 feet tall and displayed for the duration of the event. Presenters are expected to stand by their poster and engage with attendees throughout the session.

Tips for a Successful Poster
  • Use visuals such as graphs, charts or images to highlight your experience

  • Keep text concise and easy to read

  • Practice explaining your experience clearly and confidently
