The College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM) is pleased to announce the selection of the 2020 recipients of the following awards:

 

Dean’s Medalists

Each of the honorees will receive a medallion plaque in recognition of their accomplishment:

  • Holden Camp, Biological Sciences
  • Bryanna Meredith, Biological Sciences
  • Katherine Buchanan, Biomedical Sciences
  • Laura Minton, Biomedical Sciences
  • Nikki Panzica, Biomedical Sciences
  • Katherine Hunter, Chemistry and Biochemistry
  • Carly Glidewell, Geosciences
  • Anna Traylor, Mathematics and Statistics
  • Brady Unzicker, Physics

 

Outstanding Junior Awards

Each of the honorees will receive a certificate in recognition of their accomplishment:

  • Danny Xiao, Biomedical Sciences
  • Xavier Streety, Chemistry and Biochemistry
  • Lauren Dickerson, Geosciences
  • Michael McMeen, Mathematics and Statistics

Outstanding GTA Awards

Each of the honorees will receive a certificate plaque and honorarium in recognition of their accomplishment.

           

  • Radini Dissanayaka, Chemistry and Biochemistry (Dr. Jimmy Mills, Advisor)
  • Joseph Ozbolt, Mathematics and Statistics (Dr. Piotr Minc, Advisor)
  • Nick Soltis, Geosciences (Dr. Karen McNeal, Advisor)

 

Outstanding Faculty Undergraduate Mentor Award

The honoree will receive a certificate plaque and honorarium in recognition of their accomplishment.

  • Douglas Goodwin, Chemistry & Biochemistry

 

Outstanding Teacher

The honoree will receive a certificate plaque and honorarium in recognition of their accomplishment.

  • Michael (Lamar) Seibenhener, Biological Sciences

Although our usual in-person ceremony has been postponed, in the weeks ahead, COSAM will prepare a website to honor this year’s recipients.  We also intend to have a ceremony to honor these recipients at a future time.
