Biggest lesson you learned through Intensive?

  • The importance of teamwork when working on a new project. Bringing all partners to the table is vital to the overall success of a project; consultants, utilities, state & local officials, K-12 and post grad institutions, etc.

How valuable were the connections you made during Intensive?

  • Many of us have served together on EDAA and other committees and also had opportunities to collaborate on projects. Not only was my time at GEDI a valuable learning experience, it also instilled a greater sense of excitement for my career in economic development. I will forever be thankful to the GEDI staff, course instructors, and my fellow graduates for the investments made in my future.

What would you tell someone who is considering going through Intensive but not sure if they can make the time or financial commitment?

  • Intensive is definitely a time and financial commitment that bears strong consideration, but if the plan is to elevate and advance a career in economic and community development it is worth every minute and every dollar.
