Favorite place on campus: Jordan-Hare Stadium
Must do while you are in college here: If the opportunity presents itself (it will), attend at least one ESPN College Gameday show live from Auburn’s Campus. Whether it’s in basketball or football, get there before the show, get a good spot, and display that Auburn spirit on TV.
Favorite AU tradition: Rolling of Toomer’s Oak Trees
What is something every prospective/incoming student should know? We love our football here at Auburn! You certainly do not have to love football or sports in order to fit in at Auburn, but for students who do wish to participate in Saturdays on the Plains, I always like to give this as advice: Your first Auburn football season will take place in your first semester of college at Auburn. While you certainly can study on Saturdays, it can be difficult to do that and engage in everything going on around campus. I just like to remind students of this so that they can “over prepare” as they adjust to college academics since many weeks will only operate as if there are six study days instead of seven.
Advice for your college career: Find what you’re passionate about and pursue it. Accept good advice, but ignore the naysayers. Don’t go where you think the money is unless it’s what you’re passionate about. If your passionate about your career in life, the money will come, and the fulfillment you’ll get will be much more than doing what everyone else says you should do.
