The DOJ has extended the Digital Accessibility compliance deadline

On April 20, 2026, the Department of Justice issued an Interim Final Rule extending the deadline for the Title II ADA web and mobile application accessibility compliance requirements. This provides state and local government entities, including Auburn University, one additional year to comply with WCAG Level 2 AA standards. The new deadline is now April 24, 2027.

New ENP program will equip nurses for work in emergency departments

Auburn University’s College of Nursing is launching its post-graduate Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certificate Program to help meet the needs of preparing highly skilled and specially equipped nurse practitioners to serve specifically in emergency department settings. Classes in the new program are set to begin this fall and build on the college's nurse practitioner program, requiring 15 hours of coursework and 90 clinical hours.
