Guest Speaker Eric Smith to Speak on Campus

Every year, Regions and Auburn welcome a guest speaker to our campus. In spring 2021, Regions will bring with Eric Smith, The Financial Literacy Coach, who has taught money skills to more than 125,000 college students, thousands of NFL and NBA players, and corporate employee groups.

Guest Speaker- Regions will provide one opportunity each year for a guest speaker to appear on campus as part of this financial literacy program. Regions will work with Auburn to determine how to best utilize this appearance, e.g. with student athletes, general student population, or even those through the Career Center.

The financial impact of covid-19 on Auburn students

The most prevalent student financial concern as a result of COVID-19 is the inability to find on campus jobs and jobs in the community. Also, many students lack proper budgeting skills and saving account knowledge to be able to save and not spend.
