Welcome to Detachment (Det) 005, Auburn University’s Air Force ROTC unit! We are one of the premier AFROTC detachments in the nation, proudly training the next generation of leaders for the United States Air Force and Space Force. With a cadet wing of approximately 200 dedicated and motivated individuals, Det 005 offers a unique blend of academic excellence, leadership development, and physical fitness training.
At Det 005, our goal is to develop quality leaders for the Air Force and Space Force by preparing cadets to meet the challenges of military life and beyond. We emphasize the Air Force core values of integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. Our cadets engage in rigorous academic courses, leadership labs, and physical training to prepare for their roles as future officers.
