  • Gave updates from Sept 11, 2026, Board of Trustees meeting including
    • Update on PAAC college elections
    • University FY27 budget approval
    • 3% merit pool approval
    • Increases in housing and dining rates for students
    • And clean audit from PWC.
    • The board also approved Mary Martin Hall renovation, purchasing a storage building for Student Affairs, NCAT facility renovations, and Parker Hall demolition.

  • A&P and Staff Council created a postcard to be distributed to all new eligible employees during orientation.
  • Kristen reminded everyone that the A&P Holiday Meeting will be November 13, 2026, from 10am-1pm at GPAC. The meeting will start at 10:30am. Refreshments will be served.

Committee Updates

  • Welfare Committee: Joining forces with Employee Wellness & Engagement initiative. Laura Miller will serve as the A&P representative for that subcommittee, Employee Wellness Working Group. Working to expand partnerships across campus to promote wellness benefits already available to employees. Kim McCracken, Manager, Benefits will present at the next meeting on 2027 open enrollment. Working to compile a list of local childcare options and camps. Looking for a group to host this list. welfare@auburn.edu
  • Nominations and Elections Committee: No new announcents apnecom@auburn.edu
  • Grievance Committee: No announcements
  • Professional Development Committee: Reviewed responses to Professional Development Needs Assessments survey. Very good response with 423 surveys completed. Discussed leadership training opportunities and wellness was a top employee concern.

  • Discussed who they serve and their programming. Want to partner with groups across campus. Reviewed available spaces and seating capacities.
  • Woltosz Theatre- 1250 seats; Ham Amphitheater- 3,500-4,000 seats; Studio Theare- 250 seat flex space, can be set for events or performances.

  • Priorities include: Developing a clear communication plan for employee wellness; building centralized, holistic website; determining universal wellness dimension and definition for employee wellness at Auburn; creating learning paths aligned to the wellness dimensions.
