Wilkes 2013 NASA Volcanology Field Workshop
Congratulations to Cheryl Wilkes, who got into the NASA Planetary Volcanology Field Workshop in Hawaii:
Cheryl is examining Siloe Patera on Mars and trying to determine if it is a volcanic caldera or an impact crater. With fieldwork not possible at Siloe Patera, Cheryl will get to look at remote sensing data of Hawai'ian volcanic features and ALSO visit those sites on the ground to make sense of the remote data to apply similar remote analyses to Mars. That is the scope of the workshop and thus she will be an excellent participant.

Please congratulate Cheryl if you see her in the Petrie hallways and also donate any SPF 50+ sunblock to her!
