2016 Arbor Day Photo Contest
Take your best shot, and get it ready for the Arboretum’s annual Arbor Day Photo Contest!
Entries will be displayed on Auburn University’s main campus in the Rouse Life Science Building from April 18th – April 27th, and winners will be announced at a National Arbor Day Reception to be held in the Rouse LSB Rotunda from 4:00 – 5:00 pm on April 27th.
This year will feature two new categories! The Tree category will consist of portraits of trees for Arbor day. Big, small, young or old, any tree will do, however judges do prefer native species. The Arboretum People category allows you to share moments you have experience with friends or family in the Davis Arboretum (with permission of the people in the photo).
The entry fee is $5.00 per photo, and all participants will receive a long leaf pine seedling for entering the contest.
A cash award is given in the Arboretum People category and gift certificates to Cameragraphics or equivalent prizes will be awarded in all other categories. All winners in the Tree category will be allowed to choose a rare species of Alabama native oak tree from the Arboretum Nursery.
