NSF provides grant to Drs. Overtoun Jenda and Pete Johnson for REU Algebra and Discrete Mathematics
Tthe National Science Foundation (NSF) has granted $287,697 over a three-year period effective May 1, 2016, to Drs. Overtoun Jenda (Principal Investigator) and Pete Johnson (Co-Principal Investigator) for the purpose of conducting Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) in Algebra and Discrete Mathematics during the summers. This program is a continuation of successful REU programs conducted by the Drs. Jenda and Johnson at Auburn in prior years.
Each program will run for 8 weeks at Auburn University. This REU focuses on some of the current research problems in algebra and discrete mathematics. As in past years, results will be published in books or refereed journals.
