Students Study Abroad and Gain Experience with First Responders
Students including members of the the College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM), participated in a study abroad experience in Seville, Spain with excursions to Morocco, Granada and Cadiz.
These students earned three credit hours, and gained a lifetime of experiences. Not only did the students have an opportunity to shadow doctors and nurses gaining first-hand experience of working in a hospital, they also spent an entire day with first responders in a training course.
One of the most important aspects of the trip, this learning experience provided valuable life-saving skills in a real-life emergency situation.
Students had the chance to participate alongside first-responders and understand how to provide the best care possible. They helped people who were injured as if they were in an actual emergency scenario.
