COSAM Welcomes Graduate Students Back
On Thursday, August 15, the College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM) welcomed graduate students back. The diverse group of students from around the world had an opportunity to meet and connect with students across COSAM’s five departments before the new academic year began.
A new program, COSAM Champions, is being launched this year. These graduate students will have an opportunity to talk to pre-selected champions throughout the college that they feel most comfortable with. The team of champions will have training with an outside consultant to prepare them to help COSAM employees including graduate students.
“Offering COSAM Champions is another way our college is providing resources for open communication,” shared Dean Nicholas J. Giordano. “These COSAM Champions are people that our staff, faculty and graduate students will be able to talk to and seek guidance from in the workplace.”
