COSAM's Commitment to the Student Experience
Stephen Williams proudly wears a shirt that reads "This Is What A Physicist Looks Like" in the Leach Science Center.
However, Stephen's dedication to science showcases the student experience in the College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM).
Since COVID-19, this doctoral student and graduate research assistant has been able to concentrate on research in the Magnetized Plasma Research Lab.
"Over the past six months, I have been able to continue to work in the Leach Science Center to acquire tons of data, analyze the collected data and try new experiments," Williams shared.
He has also been collaborating with other graduate students and members of the Department of Physics.
"I am fortunate that my research has taken off and helps me stay on track to earn my doctoral degree in physics from Auburn University," he added.
Watch the video at the top of the page to hear Stephen discuss why the student experience makes such a difference in COSAM.
