2021 COSAM Undergraduate Research Poster Session
Congratulations to this year’s COSAM Undergraduate Research Poster Session winners! More than 25 students showcased their research on November 9th. Attendees were able to see the breadth of research going on in COSAM. Faculty from across COSAM served as judges and provided valuable feedback to the undergraduate research presenters.
The winners were:
- 1st place – Nicole Anthony for “Characterizing the structure-to-function relationship of an antisense long non-coding RNA associated with the B-Myosin heavy chain gene of skeletal and cardiac muscle”
- 2nd place – Noah Yawn for “Herbivory affects demography of a rare plant, Trillium pusillum (Trilliaceae)”
- 3rd place – Emily Kable for “Chord diagrams as a visual tool in chemistry education research”
- 3rd place – Chloe Moore for “The birds and the beaks: examining the effects of fluctuating incubation temperature on the beak sizes of zebra finches”
