Evan Trueb – 2022 Outstanding Junior (Geosciences)

Evan is a junior pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography with a minor in Sustainability Studies and a certificate in Geographic Information Systems. A native of Hoover, Alabama, Evan initially attended UAB and transferred to Auburn in fall 2021.

Evan was named to the dean’s list during his first year at UAB. At Auburn, he is a member of both the Geosciences Club and Geography Club.

Evan is currently in the process of beginning research and is particularly interested in environmentally focused research. He has an interest in analyzing sediment samples from rivers and would like to research the environment in order to keep people safe.

In his free time, Evan enjoys watching movies, drawing and spending time in nature.

Following graduation, Evan would love to become a park ranger for a while to see where that opportunity takes him. Having grown up in Alabama, he has a great appreciation for the outdoors and looks forward to a future that involves protecting the environment.
