Auburn University Theatre provides undergraduate theatre training and performances in the award-winning Telfair B. Peet Theatre. The Department of Theatre offer five degree tracks; the Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre, Performance, Management, and Design Technology. There are also minor offerings in theatre and dance. Along with the faculty/staff and guest artists, the department produces and stages six shows, including straight plays and musicals, that are held in the department’s two spaces; the Telfair Peet Mainstage and The Blackbox Theatre. All performances are free to Auburn University students.
Ensembles include Auburn University Players (AU Players), a SGA recognized student organization on campus that is for students, completely run by students. All those interested in being a part of the theatre community are welcome to join. The Mosaic Theatre Company also finds a home in the Department of Theatre, who create original works of theatre around issues of diversity and perform them throughout the Alabama community.
The Telfair B. Peet Theatre is located at the corner of Samford Avenue and Duncan Drive on the Auburn University campus.
