About Us
The Insight Lab is dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding in the field of higher education through applied research and evaluation projects. Our research often focuses on advancing career outcomes for students earning degrees at Auburn University.
Thus, the lab designs and conducts applied research studies in collaboration with faculty and key administrative and professional staff at Auburn University. These collaborations facilitate the exchange of ideas, resources, and expertise, and enrich the research process. The Insight Lab disseminates data and findings through a variety of pathways, including, deidentified datasets, static reports, and filterable visualizations. Members of the lab participate in conferences and workshops and publish their work through a variety of peer-reviewed publications.
The Insight Lab facilitates the Bright Idea Seed Grant program, a major component of AUBURNACHIEVE (the University’s Quality Enhancement Plan). Analysts support the data needs of Bright Idea projects and help to cultivate relationships with other support units on campus.
On occasion, members of the Insight Lab provide opportunities for professional development of students, faculty, and other staff at the University. This includes workshops, seminars, and training programs on research methods, data analysis, and technology.
The Insight Lab serves all levels of the University and hopes to collaborate to generate new knowledge, inform educational practice, and ultimately contribute to the improvement of education at local and national levels.
