What is the Tiger Card Mobile Credential?

Your Tiger Card on your Android device works anywhere you use your plastic Tiger Card. You can add your Tiger Card to your Android device using the GET app.

What are the eligibility requirements to use Tiger Card via Google Pay Wallet?

Individuals must be an active Auburn University student. Additionally, individuals must have a profile picture on file with the Tiger Card office.

What are the device requirements?

Your Tiger Card can be used on one device. You cannot use the mobile Tiger Card on both iOS and Android devices at the same time.

Tiger Card credentials are supported on any NFC-enabled Android phone running Lollipop 5.0 or higher (most phone sold in the past five years). Mobile Tiger Cards on Android wearables are not supported at this time.

Can I use my Tiger Card without unlocking my phone?

By default, your Android Tiger Card can be used without unlocking your phone, but the phone must be powered on and “awake” (display active).

You can change this setting by turning on “require device unlock for use.“ This allows your Tiger Card to be used only when the phone is unlocked by accessing your Tiger Card in the Google Pay Wallet.

Can I use Google Pay Tiger Card ID if my phone has a dead battery?

Your Android phone must have battery power, be powered on and “awake” to use the Tiger Card.

How many devices can I use my Tiger Card within Google Pay? 

You can use your Tiger Card via Google Pay on one Android phone device using the same credentials.

I am not able to add my Tiger Card to Google Pay. Who can help me?

What happens if I lose my Android device? If I find it afterward?

During Tiger Card office hours, contact us to deactivate the card in the Wallet for that device.

Can I use my Tiger Card in Google Pay without a cellular signal?

Tiger Cards in Google Pay can be used even if your phone does not have network connectivity, as the Tiger Card is stored on your device.

What is Mobile ID?

Mobile ID is an initiative of the Tiger Card office where your smartphone can take on the functionality of your Tiger Card.  Anywhere you could swipe a card, you will be able to use your smartphone.

Does having my Tiger Card in Google Pay cost anything?

No. The service is provided at no additional cost.

Is a Tiger Card photo required? 

Yes, a photo is required for eligibility.

What is required to authenticate to the GET Mobile app? 

You will be required to log in with your Auburn University credentials and DUO, your two-factor authorization, to add the Tiger Card to your digital wallet.

Android users will be required to enter a pin number after downloading the GET app.

What if I have a passcode on my phone, will I have to enter it every time? 

If you have not enabled the “require device unlock for use” setting, you do not need to authenticate via passcode, fingerprint, etc.

If you have enabled the “require device unlock for use” setting, you will be required to authenticate via passcode, fingerprint, etc. each time you access your Tiger Card using Google Pay.

Note: The “require device unlock for use” setting is turned off by default.

How do I use my Tiger Card or Dining Dollars currency on my account from my phone?

Once you have set up your Tiger Card in Google Pay, you can either tap your device on the payment terminal or you can continue to use the swipe method.

If you only have your Tiger Card via Google Pay, you can tap your device on the payment terminal.

Will it work with off-campus merchants?(if applicable)

Yes, you can use your Android device at off-campus merchants that support Tiger Card purchases.
