Tiger Transit Service Guidelines

For Your Information

1- Drivers for Tiger Transit are professionally trained as operators for the bus transportation industry.
2- If you believe you have left behind or lost an item while using any service provided by Transportation Services, contact our lost and found to see if the item has been turned in.
3- We always welcome any comments or suggestions about your experiences using Tiger Transit.



For Your Safety

1- Allow ample time for traveling to and from class by considering traffic congestion, weather conditions, bus connections or other unforeseen delays.
2- Allow riders departing from the bus to exit before boarding.
3- After exiting the bus, use caution by allowing the bus to pull away prior to crossing the street.
4- Do not attempt to cross the street in front of the bus.
5- Unlike school buses, traffic is not required to stop for Tiger Transit buses.
6- Do not enter a street in an attempt to board after the driver has pulled away from the designated stop.
7- While riding the bus, passengers are not allowed to stand in the stairwells or ahead of the painted line at the front of the bus.
8- Passengers who are standing while riding the bus should maintain a firm and secure grip using the handrails.
9- When entering and exiting the bus, always use the handrails.
10- As per DOT regulations, the aisle of the bus must remain clear of obstacles at all times. Items that must be stored in areas which protrude into the aisle or interfere with other passengers and/or DOT regulations are not permitted on board.



Service Area and Stops

1- Tiger Transit buses travel along predetermined routes.
2- Buses are only allowed to stop at marked Tiger Transit stops.
3- Buses are not allowed to stop to pickup passengers who arrive at a Tiger Transit stop once it has begun to pull away from the stop.
4- All routes can be seen as they're in motion using ETA Spot.



Food and Drinks

1- Passengers are not allowed to consume food or drinks while on the bus.
2- While a non-alcoholic beverage may be brought on board the bus, the container must have a lid.



Alcoholic Beverages, Tobacco Products, E-Cigarettes and Vaping Devices

1- Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on all Transportation Services vehicles (buses, vans and golf carts).
2- As per Auburn University policy, the smoking of tobacco products, electronic cigarettes and vaping devices is prohibited.



Cell Phones, Radios and Media Players

1- To avoid disrupting other passengers, radios and media players cannot be played without earbuds or headphones.
2- Cell phone conversations should be held in a low voice and while using earbuds or headphones in order to avoid disrupting other passengers.



Service Animals

Pets are not allowed on the Tiger Transit buses. Only service animals approved under the Americans with Disabilities Act and under control of its handler are allowed on the buses.

jAUnt Services Guidelines

For Your Information

1- jAUnt Services drivers are required to pass Auburn University mandated driving courses, and must complete extensive cart training with a designated trainer prior to being allowed to start transporting passengers without a trainer present.
2- If you believe you have left behind or lost an item while using any service provided by Transportation Services, contact our lost and found to see if the item has been turned in.
3- We always welcome any comments or suggestions about your experiences using jAUnt.



For Your Safety

Riders are required to remain seated and with arms and legs safely inside the cart and with feet on the floor while the cart is in motion, unless injury or condition precludes the rider from complying.



Service Area and Stops

1- Drivers are only allowed to operate our carts in areas depicted on our service map and cannot travel outside of central campus.
2- Drivers are only allowed to go to designated jAUnt stops and are not allowed to go searching for passengers who are not at the correct location.

2- While a non-alcoholic beverage may be brought on board the carts, the container must have a lid.

Special Events, Tours, and Charters

Services provided by jAUnt are limited to Auburn University students, faculty and staff who have been approved to use services by the Auburn University Office of Accessibility. We do not provide transportation for special events, tours, or charters. Those looking to obtain golf cart service provided by departments sponsoring events should contact that department directly so that they can provide transportation through their resources.

Shuttle Services Guidelines

For Your Information

1- Shuttle Services drivers are required to pass Auburn University mandated driving courses, and must complete extensive training with a designated trainer prior to being allowed to drive without a trainer being present.
2- Please refer to our online By Request Service and our University Express pages in order to obtain complete information regarding the services they each provide.

3- We always welcome any comments or suggestions about your experiences using Shuttle Services.

For Your Safety

1- The vans used for Shuttle Services are only allowed to transport a maximum of ten passengers at a time.
2- Allow ample time for traveling to and from locations by considering traffic congestion, weather conditions, or other unforeseen delays.
3- After exiting the van, use caution by allowing the van to pull away prior to crossing the street.
4- Do not attempt to cross the street in front of the van.

Service Area

1- For By Request Service: Drivers are only allowed to operate vans from designated (marked) Tiger Transit stops to designated by request stops and cannot travel to other locations.
2- For the University Express: Drivers are only allowed to go from on-campus locations to on-campus locations.

2- While a non-alcoholic beverage may be brought on board the vans, the container must have a lid.
