Jon G. Waggoner
Reporting to the Board and serving as the institution’s corporate secretary, Jon Waggoner is the official point of contact for the Trustees when communicating within and outside of the university. Mr. Waggoner has been employed by Auburn in many roles, including Special Counsel to the President, University Counsel, counsel to multiple AU-related foundations, Interim Vice President of Student Affairs, Interim AVP for Auxiliaries, and as an adjunct professor in the School of Accountancy.
A native of Tucker, Georgia, Mr. Waggoner is a 1992 Auburn alumnus, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in English. While attending Auburn University, he served as SGA President and sat as an ex officio member of the Auburn University Board of Trustees. His Juris Doctorate was awarded from the University of Alabama, where he served on the Alabama Law Review. He has been admitted to the Alabama State Bar Association, Georgia State Bar Association, Florida State Bar Association and New York State Bar Association. His professional background includes clerking for Chief Justice Perry Hooper, Sr. of the Alabama Supreme Court; practicing corporate and commercial law in Atlanta; and serving as a partner in the law firm of Miller, Hamilton, Snider & Odom, LLC.
Mr. Waggoner is married to AU alumna Kammi Santavicca Waggoner. They have two children: Rett and Emery.
Sherri M. Williams
Sherri Williams has been employed at Auburn for more than 30 years. Ms. Williams is a proud Auburn alumna, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies in 2006 and a master’s degree in higher education administration in 2011. Sherri also received her Graduate Certificate in College/University Teaching on December 12, 2015.
Williams resides on beautiful Lake Martin in Dadeville, Alabama. She and her husband, Stanley, have two daughters, Britney Willias and Barron Bevels, and five grandchildren that includes two sets of twins Brylee and Jaxson Freeman, William and Isaac Corely; and Walker Rue Bevels.
