COSAM Crowns Faculty and Staff Campaign Winners
The Auburn University College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM) showed its appreciation to each department for their participation in the recent COSAM Faculty and Staff Campaign with a luncheon held at Amsterdam Café.
On May 8, Dr. Scott Santos, Department of Biological Sciences Chair, was crowned the winner for his department having the highest participation rate in the college, with 71.2 percent.
“It’s always great for the faculty and staff to contribute to opportunities like this,” Dr. Santos said about the annual campaign initiative. “It demonstrates our commitment to our students at the university and to our college as a whole. We hope this encourages alumni and others in the community to also contribute to Auburn and its mission.”
Biological Sciences Professor Dr. Robert Boyd, Associate Professor Dr. Leslie Goertzen, and instructional staff member Robert Scott Miller acted as campaign co-chairs during the faculty and staff campaign, which concluded on April 30.
During the luncheon, Dean Nicholas J. Giordano thanked each department for their participation during the campaign.
“This lunch is our way of showing our sincerest appreciation for the committment you have made to help our college. Thank you all for what you have done for this annual campaign and what that will mean for your department,” Dean Giordano said.
