Collaboration with Campus Partners

The Office of Information Technology's strategic vision is to work symbiotically with all constituencies to provide for technical needs. Some OIT projects are essentially invisible to end users, but a large number of them require collaboration with other units on campus. While this list is far from exhaustive, some notable collaborative efforts for 2019 include the implementation of DUO for students, the Vet School Open House App, the system students use to request a Flunch, a new housing management system, a study tracking system for ROTC, and a web application for requesting a change of major.

DUO for Students

To improve student security, OIT worked closely with the Office of the First Year Experience, Academic Advisors, and the Office of the Registrar to bring DUO 2-factor authentication to all students.

Vet School Open House App

The Campus Web Solutions co-op students worked closely with several representatives from the College of Veterinary Medicine to produce a guidance app for the annual Vet Med Open House.

Flunch

Several OIT units were involved in creating an application so students can sign up for the SGA-sponsored Flunch program which provides free mentorship lunches to students.

Housing Management

The Enterprise Application team worked closely with the Housing office and Student Affairs to implement a housing management system to streamline applications and rooming requests.
