Virtual Journalism and Media 2.0 Camp: June 8-12, 2020
Rising 10th, 11th, and 12th Graders
Come and join Auburn University School of Communication and Journalism’s summer high school virtual Journalism and Media 2.0 Camp June 8th through June 12th during the COVID-19 pandemic. This program is designed for rising sophomores, juniors and seniors. Students will learn from professional journalists and Auburn University professors who have also worked in news and sports journalism.
Students will receive training in writing and reporting for news, sports, feature magazines, and digital storytelling and one-on-one critiques. In addition, students will learn interviewing and research skills and technological techniques that are used by working journalists during the pandemic. The camp consists of interactive workshops and training.
High school students with strong interest in broadcasting/digital, newspapers, sports, magazines, photojournalism or online media are encouraged to apply. Camp participants will also have the opportunity to learn how to prepare to apply for college and journalism and media internships. The cost to attend the camp is $100. Twenty full scholarships will be awarded to students who qualify for financial assistance.
The Auburn University Journalism and Media 2.0 summer camp for high school students is developed to assure excellence in journalism profession of journalism and ensure diversity and inclusion for decades to come.

All camp participants will need to have access to WIFI, desktop, laptop or tablet and a smartphone. We will collaborate with students who need assistance.

Welcome to Auburn University's CEOE Virtual Journalism and Media 2.0 Camp - June 8-12, 2020.
High school sophomores, juniors and seniors are encouraged to register especially if you have strong interest in news writing and reporting, sports journalism, digital story telling and feature and magazine writing.
Registration is open for Summer 2020.
Cost
The cost to attend the camp is $100. Twenty full scholarships will be awarded to students who qualify for financial assistance.

- After the Registration Application Form has been completed, you will be directed to Payment Options.
Payment Options
- You may pay the $100 camp fee online by credit card.
- If you can't afford the cost of the program, you will have the option to fill out the Scholarship Application Form.
- Scholarship decisions will be sent by email from the CEOE staff by May 24, 2020.
