INCOMING TRANSIENT STUDENT CHECKLIST
Transient students are those students who wish to take classes at Auburn University, but do not wish to transfer from their current institution. These students' enrollment eligibility is only good for one semester. Below is a checklist to get you started, followed by helpful resources that all transient students should review.
See if Auburn is offering your requested course.

APPLICATIONThis letter includes your login information. Any questions regarding your acceptance should be directed to admissions.
The $250 deposit MUST be paid prior to receiving a time ticket. Please allow 24 hours for your enrollment to process following the deposit payment. A time ticket cannot be assigned until the enrollment has been completely processed. After 24 hours, you can request a time ticket from registrar@auburn.edu.
PAY DEPOSITA Time Ticket is the assigned time and date that your registration will open. Please email registrar@auburn.edu or call 334-844-2544 to request a time ticket for registration. Once assigned, please log in to AU Access to see when it will open.
All incoming students must complete the required medical forms through Med+Proctor in order to register. A medical hold will be placed on the student's account until all forms and required tests have been submitted.
If you are a transient student that will be taking only an online course(s), please reach out to registrar@auburn.edu for an exception. All otherquestions regarding Med+Proctor, TB Testing, and hold removal, should be directed to the Medical Clinic at 334-844-4416.
Med+ProctorTransient Students can register for courses through Tiger Scheduler. Please review the link below for videos and reference guides to register for classes. Please ensure that your transfer credits have been entered in order to avoid any registration errors. You can contact transfer@auburn.edu to check on these credits. If you are still receiving any registration errors, you will need to contact the department to ask for approval to be added to the course (Example: Contact English Dept for ENGL 1120). To see if your desired course(s) has a prerequisite, review the courses of instruction link below.
GUIDES COURSES OF INSTRUCTIONLocate Ebill on AU Access. Pay tuition by the due date to avoid being dropped from your course(s).
Progressing through your course during your transient term at Auburn, you may utilize AU Access, Canvas, and other helpful resources found at www.auburn.edu. If you need assistance throughout your time at Auburn as a transient student, please contact registrar@auburn.edu.
At the end of the term, transient students can order an official transcript with the final grade of the course to be sent back to the home institution.
