Based in Washington D.C., the Office of Federal Relations serves as the chief liaison between Auburn University and elected and appointed officials in the federal government. In connecting policymakers with faculty, administrators and students, the office advances Auburn programs that intersect with the federal government and advocates for university public policy goals.
In addition, the Office of Federal Relations: works with senior university administrators and academic leadership to develop a federal relations strategy and legislative agenda that advances Auburn interests and priorities; builds and fosters relationships with legislative and executive branch officials and staff; communicates university priorities to government officials; serves as a resource to federal policymakers and staff; and facilitates the exchange of ideas and expertise between Auburn faculty and administrators and federal officials.
Auburn on the Hill
Auburn’s Washington, D.C., office is located on Capitol Hill across the street from the U.S. Capitol Building. Auburn frequently hosts events around the city for student interns and alumni working on Capitol Hill and in other policymaking roles in D.C.
